The RCPNA Board held a Special Board Meeting on December 2nd to discuss the United Neighborhoods for Reform (UNR) Demolition/Development Resolution that had been forwarded by the LU & TC for approval. The meeting was well attended with close to 50 residents and guest there for this topic. The Board received a presentation by Beaumont Wilshire/UNR representative Barbara Strunk and opened the discussion to include the audience. After much deliberation and receiving strong support both in favor and in opposition to the Resolution, the Board chose to forward the Resolution to the City Council with support of many of it’s concepts. Please see the RCPNA Concerns on Residential Demolitions/Development letter for more information.
The Board will continue to monitor this issue and provide an update at the RCPNA General Membership meeting on January 27th, 2015. The Land Use & Transportation Committee, which meets monthly on the 3rd Thursdays, will track the issue for the Board.
